Mirror jewelry armoire – Many people like to have a mirror above their chest of drawers to use as a dressing support, to show how outfits look or fix hair and makeup. The mirror is usually placed either next to one end of the bureau or centered above the chest of drawers. Some of the locations depend on where the wall rails are located. Mirrors can be heavy and need extra support to ensure they do not fall.

Rotate control detector and slide it over the wall to locate studs. The machine will beep when a stud is found. Mark pin points with a pencil. If you do not find studs where you need the mirror, use heavy hollow wall anchors. Determine how high your mirror jewelry armoire wants to hang the mirror. Make a small mark on the wall where the bottom of the mirror will hang. Select a hanger for the mirror if it does not have one. Most mirrors come with hangers already connected. If not, choose either metal notch hanger or D rings with image hanging wire.
Look where you want the hanger to be on the back of the mirror and drill a small steering hole in the frame. Insert the screws that come with the hardware for hack hanger or D-rings to attach them to the frame. If you use D-rings, twist the cable around the rings to hold them in place. Slip the metal straps around the wire when it is connected and crimp them with pliers. Measure from the mark on the wall above the mirror jewelry armoire to the distance you determined in Step 5. Do this on two side-by-side studs. Make a pencil marking 1/4 to 1/2 inch above the measurement. This is where you will put the screws.
